Hulbert came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 26-22 W over the Warner Eagles on Thursday. For the Riders, this counts as revenge for the 56-8 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Ethan Ellis threw for 60 yards and one touchdown. Dj Gregory was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Hunter Rankin rushed for 187 yards and a pair of scores.

Although Warner took the loss, they still got scores from Dalton Carter, Logan Collins, and Kristopher Gonzalez.

Hulbert's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Warner, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hulbert will face off against Rejoice Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Riders will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Warner, they will take on Chouteau-Mazie at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Eagles will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
