Trona hasn't had much luck against Immanuel Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tornadoes will host the Crusaders at 3:15 p.m. Trona knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Immanuel Christian likes a good challenge.
Trona barely beat Desert Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tornadoes put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.
Lily Mehan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Ava Blakie made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Trona is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Immanuel Christian, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trona has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 14.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Immanuel Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Trona couldn't quite finish off Immanuel Christian in their previous matchup back in March and fell 12-10. Will the Tornadoes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
