Softball Recap: Algonac Gets the Win

While Algonac's win against Croswell-Lexington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Muskrats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Pioneers on Thursday. The Muskrats haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Algonac let Lainie Meleski and Autumn Dueweke run wild. Meleski went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Dueweke went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was Meleski's first of the season.

Algonac's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1. As for Croswell-Lexington, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
