Everything went their way against Hueneme as Rio Hondo Prep made off with a 72-47 win. For Rio Hondo Prep, this counts as revenge for the 64-45 loss Hueneme walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Rio Hondo Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derek David out in front who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Elias Har, who scored 15 points.
The win got Rio Hondo Prep back to even at 2-2. As for Hueneme, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Rio Hondo Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Beacon Hill at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for Hueneme, they will take on Villanova Prep at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Villanova Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
