Birmingham entered their tilt with Granada Hills Charter on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Highlanders by a score of 23-16. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Loss or not, Granada Hills Charter got some senior leadership from Michael Osuna and Dean Rosales. Osuna rushed for 124 yards and one TD, while Rosales rushed for 134 yards and one score.

Birmingham's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Granada Hills Charter, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Birmingham will venture away from home to take on Chatsworth at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will be up against the Chancellors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
