Richmond took their contest against Imlay City on Friday by a conclusive 41-16 score. The success represented a nice turnaround for Richmond, who in their last game suffered a tough 12-51 loss.
Richmond started the matchup off right with 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, Imlay City couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. Richmond were outscored in the second half, but Imlay City's efforts were ultimately no more than a drop in the ocean.
After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Richmond will stay at home next week against Ovid-Elsie at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games. Imlay City will look to defend their home turf against Capac at 7:00 PM. Imlay City will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
