The Northeast Bradford Panthers had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Sayre 48-17 on the road. That looming 48-17 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northeast Bradford yet this season.
Abbie McGaughey and Meghan Flynn certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. McGaughey scored seven points along with three blocks, while Flynn scored a points. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her.
Northeast Bradford's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3. As for Sayre, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Bradford will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Neumann Regional Academy at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Sayre, they will head out on the road to face off against Williamson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williamson will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
