Given Olentangy's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while St. Francis DeSales is ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Olentangy to victory were Sydney Mobley and Whitney Stafford. Mobley dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Stafford scored 27 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals. Chayla Rankin was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Olentangy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for St. Francis DeSales, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Olentangy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Albany at 6:00 p.m. on November 25th. As for St. Francis DeSales, they will be playing at home against Bexley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
