After a string of 21 wins, the Holy Family Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Mead 51-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Holy Family has scored all season.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sawyer Dana, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dana has scored all season. Gracie Ward was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Holy Family's loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1. As for Mead, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Holy Family will take on Greeley West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greeley West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Holy Family is ranked eighth). As for Mead, they will head out on the road to face off against Windsor at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Windsor's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
