The Clinton Central Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season. They really took it to Tri-Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-26 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Clinton Central who now have six in a row.
Clinton Central's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sara Parkison, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Parkison has scored at least 25% of Clinton Central's points. Another player making a difference was Emily Long, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Tri-Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Autumn Hurt, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Newcom, who scored five points.
Clinton Central pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Tri-Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Clinton Central will head out on the road to face off against Clinton Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton Prairie is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Tri-Central will be home for the holidays to greet Madison-Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Madison-Grant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
