Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawnee). They took down the New Knoxville Rangers 69-54 on Tuesday. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Leading Shawnee to victory were Kamryn Morris and Ava Gadson. Morris went 8 for 10 on her way to 19 points and six rebounds, while Gadson went 8 of 15 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Betts, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 10 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, New Knoxville still got an impressive performance from Brynn Egbert, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Egbert is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Addi Albers was another key player, going 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points.

Shawnee's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for New Knoxville, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Shawnee will venture away from home to take on Elida at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elida will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Shawnee surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Knoxville, they will head out to challenge Coldwater at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
