There's no place like home for the Crofton Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 57-56 victory over Boyd County. The victory was just what Crofton needed coming off of a 69-49 loss in their prior game.
Crofton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxston Foxhoven, who scored 17 points. Jace Foxhoven was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Boyd County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Adams, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Derris Hansen, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds.
Crofton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Boyd County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crofton will face off against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Saturday. As for Boyd County, they will head out on the road to face off against Neligh-Oakdale at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
