Calhoun waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the North Greene Spartans get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Jack Goode and Earl Elmore did most of the damage at the plate: Goode went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI, while Elmore went 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Goode a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Van Dyne, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Calhoun hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.

Calhoun's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for North Greene, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Calhoun didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Pittsfield on the 9th. As for North Greene, they will head out on the road to take on Seymour at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
