Mountain Home gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Kimberly Bulldogs to the tune of 70-41. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Juli Donez had an outrageously good game as she shot 47% from the field en route to 22 points along with eight steals and six assists. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexi Longhurst, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 17 points and three steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Mountain Home was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kimberly only posted seven.
Kimberly's loss came despite strong showings from Adyson Osborne and Brooklyn VerWey. Osborne dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, while VerWey posted 13 points.
