Blackman (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) snapped the six-game winning streak of Ravenwood (Brentwood, Tenn.), with a 47-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Cole Notgrass touchdown run in the first quarter, the Blaze led 40-0 at the half.
Blackman grew its lead to 47 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored once in the quarter on a
Chase Murphy touchdown run.
Notgrass and
Charlie Davidson ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Raptors. Notgrass scored two touchdowns on the ground and Davidson added three as well.
The Murfreesboro school went into the matchup giving up only 11.9 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Ravenwood, which notched a 49-26 victory over Cane Ridge in its previous outing.
