Temple Christian lost to Roanoke Valley Christian back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Crusaders came out on top against the EAGLES by a score of 3-1.

Temple Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-19, 25-20, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Roanoke Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Claire Whitenack, who had seven kills, seven digs, and five aces. With that strong performance, Whitenack is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game.

Temple Christian's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, they moved to 14-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Temple Christian will venture away from home to square off against Christian Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, they will head out to challenge Westover Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
