KIPP College Prep may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will go up against Maret in continuing playoff action on Saturday. Averaging 46.33 points per game, the KIPP College Prep squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Maret's defense is prepared for a test.
The Panthers got themselves on the board against Richard Wright Public Charter School last week, but Richard Wright Public Charter School never followed suit. The Panthers put a hurting on Richard Wright Public Charter School to the tune of 42 to nothing. Rontrell Haigler had a dynamite game for KIPP College Prep; he rushed for 303 yards and five TDs on 15 carries.
KIPP College Prep's defense was a presence as well, and it made life painful for the quarterback and embarrassed Richard Wright Public Charter School's offensive line for a total of six sacks. Leading the way was Tavon Harrison and his three sacks.
Maret faced St. Albans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Maret walked away with a 34-26 win.
