The Hudson Cobras can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They snuck past Central with a 45-41 victory. The win was just what Hudson needed coming off of a 72-11 loss in their prior matchup.
Hudson found their leader in underclassman Gabriella Reigada, who scored eight points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Reigada grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cloie Hagin, who scored ten points.
Hudson's win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Central, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hudson will take on Nature Coast Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nature Coast Tech is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Central, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Leesburg at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Leesburg's defense has only allowed 19.9 points per game this season, so Central's offense will have their work cut out for them.
