Fairfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 15-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-8.

Ally Maynard and Alyssa Bales were among the main playmakers for Fairfield as the former had 15 digs and two aces and the latter had 16 digs and three aces. Bales is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.
They weren't the only good servers: Fairfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Lynchburg-Clay made easy work of Belpre on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lynchburg-Clay was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-8.
Fairfield's record now sits at 16-7. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their record is now 18-5.
