The Trinity Wolves can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mt. Shasta 49-17 on the road. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 513th, while the Bears are ranked 1152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kloe Kist, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Albiez, who scored eight points along with two steals and two blocks.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mt. Shasta struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Trinity posted eight assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Trinity and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Mt. Shasta, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Weed is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Mt. Shasta, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Fall River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
