Marquette Catholic added to the longest winning streak in Prairie State this week by beating Nokomis/Ramsey, 27-24. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Metro-East Lutheran lost to Dupo 52-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jacob Neihaus threw for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Neihaus put up the best numbers in passing as Mt. Olive beat Bunker Hill. Neihaus' favorite target this week was Matt Tomso, who caught 3 passes for 89 yards.
Mt. Olive's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Neihaus has thrown for 908 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Brenden O'Neal has 24 catches for 515 yards.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Wildcats and South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville face off next week.
At the moment, the Redskins are in first, while the Knights are in fifth.
Marquette Catholic and Nokomis/Ramsey played the closest game in the league this week, with Marquette Catholic eventually emerging with a 27-24 victory.
