Hoehne has been on the road for five straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Las Animas Trojans at 12:00 p.m. Hopefully Hoehne focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Hoehne, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-36 loss to Pagosa Springs. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hoehne has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Janae Ramos, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. Alessa Cantoria was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Las Animas entered their tilt with Swink with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Las Animas secured a 41-35 W over Swink on Thursday.
Hoehne's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Las Animas, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Everything came up roses for Hoehne against Las Animas in their previous meeting back in February as the team secured a 62-17 victory. With Hoehne ahead 34-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
