While Schaumburg Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past the Latin Romans with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 75-56. The Conquerors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Schaumburg Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Bustamante, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 24 points along with six assists and six boards. That's the most points Bustamante has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanish Dundi, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 18 points and five assists.

Schaumburg Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Latin, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Schaumburg Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-37 loss against West Chicago on the 23rd. As for Latin, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
