The Bishop Lynch Friars''s six-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Nolan Catholic 59-21 at home. The victory was just what Bishop Lynch needed coming off of a 69-21 loss in their prior matchup.
Bishop Lynch can attribute much of their success to Ty Bradley, who picked up 165 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ishmael Muhammad also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Devero, who threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Morales, who gained 98 total yards and two touchdowns.
Bishop Lynch's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Nolan Catholic, their loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Bishop Lynch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nolan Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
