Churchill hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chargers will square off against the Mavericks at 7:15 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Tuesday, Churchill made easy work of LEE and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Volunteers: they've now won four in a row.
The win didn't come easy: LEE scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

| 09/19/25 @ SA Roosevelt | 6 |
Churchill relied on the efforts of Kenadie Pina, who had eight digs and two aces, and Gia Duenez, who had 11 digs and eight kills. Duenez has been hot recently, having posted six or more kills the last four times she's played. Sabrina Maldonado also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Madison not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on SA Roosevelt with a sharp 3-0 victory.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Madison was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-7, 25-14.
Churchill better focus on containing Aubrianna Jefferson and Kyleigh Shaw as the pair were huge in Madison's win. Jefferson had 17 digs and one assist, while Shaw had three digs and two aces.
Madison was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matches.
Madison picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 14-22. As for Churchill, their record is now 22-13.
Churchill beat Madison 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
