In what's become a running theme this season, the Eastern Ramblers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 46-5 win over Bell at home. Winning may never get old, but Eastern sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Jayme Poindexter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 steals. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lanaia Martin, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Bell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Eastern will play host again and welcome the Falcons, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bard comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Bell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
