The Manor Mustangs were the 58-52 winner over the Churchland Truckers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Manor took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Churchland.
When it comes to explaining why Manor lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Tyceir Hughes. Despite the final result, he scored six points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for him. Antwan Merritt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Manor now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Churchland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manor will face off against Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Booker T. Washington is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Churchland, they will head out on the road to face off against Maury at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
