The Scammon Bay Eagles waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Emmonak 85-57 on the road. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Josiah Sundown was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Stewie Sundown, who scored 15 points.
Scammon Bay is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Emmonak, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Scammon Bay won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Mary's at 8:30 p.m. on February 8th. Scammon Bay has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Emmonak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
