Stockbridge has gone 8-2 against Woodland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Stockbridge has three straight victories, Woodland has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Stockbridge was fully in charge, breezing past Eagle's Landing Christian Academy 40-7. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by 32 points or more so far this season.

Joshua Scott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 280 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 160.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Stockbridge also got a significant boost from Edward Minor, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.
Another reason for the win was Stockbridge's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's QB won't forget Cayden Bridges anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Bridges also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11. Another thorn in Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's side was Caleb Thomas, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Woodland lost to McDonough at home by a 24-7 margin on Friday. Despite 310 more yards than the Warhawks, the Wolfpack couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Stockbridge will need to focus on slowing down Courey Bryan, one of several Woodland players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 89 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 137 yards. Michael Green was another key player, rushing for 87 yards and one TD.
Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Stockbridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Stockbridge has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 163.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Woodland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 167.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Stockbridge against Woodland in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-10 victory. In that game, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 35-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
