The Iowa High School Athletic Association football playoffs will soon be underway.
The championship games for Classes A, 3A and 8-Player are scheduled for Nov. 21 while state title winners in Classes 4A, 2A and 1A will be determined on Nov. 22.
Cedar Falls' Uni-Dome, home to the University of Northern Iowa Panthers, will serve as the host site for all six state championship football contests.
Champions in 2018 include Dowling Catholic (4A), Cedar Rapids Xavier (3A), Prairie City Monroe (2A), West Sioux (1A), Hudson (A) and New London (8-Player). As the playoffs unfold, Dowling Catholic will be attempting to win its seventh straight state football title while Cedar Rapids Xavier will be going after its third straight state football championship.
