Baseball Recap: Valley Has No Trouble Against Southeast Polk

Valley barely beat Southeast Polk the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Rams 11-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 10-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Southeast Polk, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will challenge Waukee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.6, the Warriors 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Southeast Polk, they will take on Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
