The Morse Shipbuilders were the 60-56 winner over the Freeport Falcons when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Morse was the victim of a tough 66-40 loss at the hands of Freeport on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Morse still got an impressive performance from Gage Suitter, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Calin Gould was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Morse's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Freeport, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morse will face off against Mount View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeport, they will head out on the road to face off against Greely at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
