Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 15 to 3 on the offensive boards, a fact the Patagonia Lobos proved on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over Superior. The win made it back-to-back wins for Patagonia.
Diego Carranza continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Nunez, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and eight steals.
Superior lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Antonio Lopez, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Ryland Duarte, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Patagonia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-14. As for Superior, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.
Patagonia will be playing at home against the Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Superior, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Wildkats at 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Duncan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Wednesday.
