The Cypress Creek Coyotes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They managed a 78-72 win over Weeki Wachee. With that win, Cypress Creek brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Cypress Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Edmonds, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Edmonds hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jordan Constantine, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Priester, who scored 18 points along with five assists and two steals. Priester is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. Matthew Stumpf was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two blocks.
Cypress Creek pushed their record up to 10-12 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Weeki Wachee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
Cypress Creek will be playing at home against the Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Coyotes in Florida (the Phoenix are ranked 164th, while the Coyotes are ranked 413th). As for Weeki Wachee, they will head out on the road to take on the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sunlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
