Burns has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. The Burns Broncs and the Lander Valley Tigers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Burns struggled with assists on Saturday (Southeast had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Burns ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-40 walloping at the hands of Southeast.
Despite the defeat, Burns saw an underclassman step up: Parker Ochsner scored 17 points. Ochsner also scored 15+ points for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, Lander Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against East, falling 81-52. Lander Valley has struggled against East recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Burns bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Lander Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Burns took a serious blow against Lander Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 78-36. Can Burns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
