If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for South Point. On Friday they will take on R-S Central at 7:30 PM. R-S Central will need to watch out since South Point have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
South Point might be getting used to good results now that the squad has four wins in a row. They came out on top against East Rutherford by a score of 35-24 last Friday. No one put up better numbers for South Point than junior Naseem Jones, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns. This marked the 4th matchup in which Jones has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for R-S Central, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were dealt a punishing 7-55 defeat at the hands of Shelby. R-S Central were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
South Point were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past R-S Central 62-0. Will South Point repeat their success, or does R-S Central have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
