The Deer Creek Antlers are taking a road trip to square off against the Bixby Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Deer Creek took a 27-point loss the last time they faced off against Norman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Antlers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 win over the Tigers on Thursday.

Deer Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gage Gibbons led the charge by picking up 115 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 115 receiving yards gave Gibbons a new career-high. Deer Creek also got a significant boost from Lemar Davis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.
Meanwhile, Bixby put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Mustang with points to spare, taking the game 38-22. Those 38 points were actually the fewest the Spartans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Deer Creek better keep an eye on Jayson Moll. He was instrumental in Bixby's win, rushing for 311 yards and one TD while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Moll was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Gill, who rushed for 92 yards and a pair of scores.
Bixby was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 471 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bixby's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Dawson Madden was the leader with three.
Deer Creek's record is now 3-5. As for Bixby, their record now sits at 8-0.
Deer Creek took a serious blow against Bixby in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 48-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Spartans' Carson Kirby, who threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns.
