Football Recap: Northwood Wins Going Away Against Goshen

After only seven points in their last matchup, NorthWood made sure to put some points up on the board against Goshen on Friday. The Panthers blew past the RedHawks 49-24. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 25 points or more this season.

Luke Keim threw for 183 yards and one TD while completing 81% of his passes. Jaron Allen was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Austin King rushed for 119 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.

Several RedHawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Douglas Diaz, who threw for 269 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 54 yards. Goshen's leading receiver Spencer Elliott was Diaz's top target yet again, picking up 155 receiving yards and one score.

NorthWood now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Goshen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

NorthWood has already played their next contest, a 28-14 loss against Mishawaka on the 24th. As for Goshen, after each having a week off, they and Fort Wayne North Side will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
