The Tupper Lake Lumberjacks put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by St. Regis Falls at home to the tune of 80-35. Tupper Lake's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tupper Lake had a senior duo take command as Thomas Peterson dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists and Michael Corneau went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least 25% of Tupper Lake's points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Pelkey, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Tupper Lake pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.17 points. As for St. Regis Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tupper Lake will take on Chateaugay at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Regis Falls will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Lawrence Central at 7:15 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
