On Saturday, Pinole Valley strolled past Skyline with points to spare, taking the game 69-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pinole Valley.
Pinole Valley was led to victory by Jaylin Reed and Chriseanie Nealy. Reed scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks, while Nealy scored 25 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The match was Reed's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Romyn Waugh was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Pinole Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Skyline, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Pinole Valley and St. Patrick-St. Vincent will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in St. Patrick-St. Vincent's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. Skyline will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Castlemont at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
