In a stacked weekend of high school football games in Arizona, the biggest turned out to be arguably the best.
No. 1 Chandler overcame a 14-point deficit in the final quarter to beat No. 2 Hamilton 42-38. Star running back Daveon Hunter provided the game-winner on a run from a yard out with under a minute to play.
Chandler entered the contest ranked No. 18 nationally by MaxPreps.
In other big games, No. 18 Desert Ridge knocked off No. 6 Highland 28-7 and No. 7 Chaparral edged No. 13 Liberty 36-35.
No. 11 Brophy College Prep was idle.
