Grace Okamoto was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hannah Brummett, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Emma Brummett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Almira-Coulee-Hartline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mary Walker unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 23-8 to Inchelium.
Almira-Coulee-Hartline is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Mary Walker, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
