The Norton Bluejays lost against the Goodland Cowboys back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Norton lost to Goodland on the road by a decisive 38-20 margin. Norton has not had much luck with Goodland recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Norton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jenessa Ruder. Despite the final result, she scored 10 points. Ruder scored a full 50% of Norton's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Norton now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Goodland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Norton is on the road again on Saturday and play against Burlington at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Burlington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Saturday. As for Goodland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colby on Saturday.
