The Hoopa Valley Warriors won the last time they faced the Tulelake Honkers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Hoopa Valley managed a 46-40 win over Tulelake. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hoopa Valley.
Leading Hoopa Valley to victory were Lyle Mckinnon and Brandon Romero. Mckinnon scored 15 points, while Romero scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mckinnon has scored at least 25% of Hoopa Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Anzora, who scored 6 points.
Hoopa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Tulelake, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Hoopa Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Laytonville at 3:30 p.m. on December 13th. Laytonville comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Tulelake, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethel Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
