Boron didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gartica, Malachi Rucker, and Daxton Perkins picked up one apiece. Gartica's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. Brody Grey was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Minarets hadn't done well against Mendota recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 31-21.
