Durango's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grady Feeney, who rushed for 115 yards and two scores, and also threw for 183 yards and one touchdown on only 11 passes. Feeney has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Gus Halls also helped out as he racked up 122 rushing yards.
While Durango came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for Heritage: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 36.4%. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for the Demons; they were averaging 58.6%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 58.6%.
Mo Thenell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 278 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per carry for Heritage. Thenell showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards. Jamison Seese also helped out as he racked up 143 rushing yards.
