First Baptist Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Guardians since September 16, 2022.

First Baptist Christian got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 32-30.

When it comes to explaining why John Paul the Great Academy lost, don't look at Therese Friddell. Despite the final result, she had five digs and two aces.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for John Paul the Great Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.
