The North Davidson Black Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past West Davidson with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. Given North Davidson's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while West Davidson is ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Davidson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caiden Bean out in front who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Davis, who scored six points.
North Davidson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for West Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Davidson will be home for the holidays to greet Forsyth Home Educators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forsyth Home Educators is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for West Davidson, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Salisbury at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. One thing working in Salisbury's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
