Sunrise Mountain was averaging 40.44 points per game entering their game on Friday, but they just couldn't find their rhythm against Centennial. The Mustangs were dealt a punishing 50-0 loss at the hands of Centennial. The low total for Sunrise Mountain limited their streak of high-flying scores to six in a row.
The Mustangs are hunkering down at home again for their contest against Buena next week. The Mustangs have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Buena is surely hoping to exploit. Centennial will have some time to savor their victory since their next matchup is a little ways off; they will square off against Hamilton at 7 p.m. ET in two weeks. It should be a fierce showdown as Centennial is ranked fourth in the MaxPreps state rankings and Hamilton is ranked second.
