Basketball Game Preview: Denver Christian Thunder vs. Limon Badgers

Denver Christian hasn't had much luck against Limon recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Denver Christian Thunder will challenge the Limon Badgers at 4:30 p.m. Denver Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Limon likes a good challenge.

Denver Christian is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Byers: they outscored them in every quarter. Denver Christian was the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over Byers on Tuesday. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 74th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kamiree Fuller and Natalie Bohannon were among the main playmakers for Denver Christian as the former went 7 of 10 en route to 16 points and three steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Fuller has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 26 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Everett, who posted ten points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Denver Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Byers only racked up six assists.

Meanwhile, Limon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to Flagler on the road by a 51-35 margin.

Limon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Denver Christian, their record is now 10-1.

Denver Christian took a serious blow against Limon in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 53-25. Can Denver Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
